NZ $189 per person

With this half-day (or full-day) wine tour in the vines of Central Otago’s Gibbston Valley you can’t go wrong! It’s an opportunity to spend some quality time with your nearest and dearest and let us do all the admin and driving for you. Travelling only as far as Gibbston, time in the van is limited giving us more time to relax and enjoy each stop.

We’ve been able to split this tour into a half-day wine tour and a full-day wine tour. Allowing those who would like to have lunch a winery the chance to do so.

The Full-Day tour ($219 per person)

Kinross Estate, Gibbston

This tour will begin with pick-up around 11:00am and to head to Kinross Estate for a tasting of 6 wines and lunch. We let you buy your own lunch allowing you to select from Kinross’ excellent a-la-carte lunch menu. They have a full bistro as well as a delicious range of sourdough pizzas and shared tasting platters of local delights. This location is a beautiful vinyeard, where you can walk around the vines, explore their wine shop and/or enjoy a hot coffee in the cafe. You will have a full hour (after your tasting) to enjoy at your leisure and we will collect you from Kinross at 1:00pm to continue with the tour.

The Half-Day tour ($189 per person)

Peregrine Barrel Hall, Gibbston

This option begins at around 12:30pm with pick-up from your accommodation in Queenstown. We first head to collect the full-day folks and then to visit two premium wineries in the world-famous Gibbston sub-region. We work with the widest range of wineries in the region and adjust where we go based on the tastes of those on the tour. So if you have any requests then please let us know at the time of booking and we’ll do our best to include them.

From here we take a trip into the historic village of Arrowtown. Here we visit Gibbston Valley Cheesery for a cheese tasting in their brand-new tasting room! These local cheeses are multi-award winning and a must-try in the region!

If you’re looking for a Queenstown/Central Otago wine tour, look no further than NEW ZEALAND WINE TOURS with Jake Tippler! By far it’s the best wine tour I’ve ever experienced. Food and wine pairing in Chard’s cellar, lunch with an... award winning chef, behind the scenes cellars, and of course wine tasting—in a small group setting while getting heaps of info about wine, pairing, Otago, Queenstown and more!! Loved it and look forward to doing it again!!https://nzwinetours.co.nzread more

Fantastic wine tour, I took the Degustation tour, informative, no waiting around to be served in cellar doors as the tour guide could serve and talk about the wine! Matt took us to a barrel hall at the first winery for a sensory food and... wine match and onto lunch for a wonderful food and wine matching experience. Two other local wineries to finish off the wonderful central Otago tour. I highly recommend!read more

What I LOVED about this tour was the personal touch !. Liz asked what we like to drink and then tailored the tour to the groups taste !!. By passing this winery for another because she KNEW that the other winery was serving more of this... type than that type of wine. The food was excellent and the explanations were succinct and even for a layman , easy to understand. I would highly recommend without hesitation this tour. It's a little bit more expensive but max it's only 8 people, so more intimate than the 15 or 20 people tours that the competition offer. Add to this the knowledge and personal touch added by the expert staff.. Soooo worth the extra few bucks you pay . 6 out of 5 stars... !read more
