Tour Plan

1
Peregrine Wines - Vineyard/Winery Tour
Our first winery of the day is Peregrine Wines in the Valley of Vines, Gibbston. Here we take a walk among the vines to discuss what it takes to produce the worlds best Pinot grapes. We then take a look into the winery and run through the wine making process from grapes to glass. We finish off in Peregrine's beautiful Cellar Door where we taste a selection of Peregrine's award winning wines.
2
Armoa Room
Our exclusive Aroma Room experience is an aromatic adventure that will demystify wine smells, and delight you. We introduce you to a range of wine related fragrances and talk about how aroma's are perceived and described. We will then challenge you to identify some of the aromas in two lovely Central Otago wines. This takes around 30 minutes and includes a brief walk around the Highlands Motorsport Museum.
3
Mt Difficulty Lunch
Lunch during winter is at the beautiful Mt Difficulty Winery Restaurant in Bannockburn. The Restaurant boasts beautiful views, overlooking vineyards, the historic gold mining sluicings and orchards of the Cromwell Basin, surrounded by mountains. The platter at Mt Difficulty is a selection of meats, dips, cheese and breads, and can be customised to suit a range dietary needs (please enquire at time of booking if you have any dietary restrictions).
4
Three Customised Winery Visits
After lunch we take you to visit three further wineries which we select on the day to suit the tastes of the people on the tour. After discussing your tastes, interests and requests we select wineries that will truly suit your tastes on the day. Our guides are experts in wine and we work with over 25 different Cellar Doors to ensure you get to taste the best of what the region has to offer for the perfect day out.

If you love Pinot Noir, this is the tour for you! Mathew went above and beyond to recommend a tour to suit my love of Pinots and Liz, our tour guide, customized the wineries we visited to suit the tastes of our group. Her interest in our diverse group, humor, wit, and knowledge of not only the Central Otago region out of Queenstown and wine varietals, but accommodating our different backgrounds and tastes was amazingly special. She even got us out of our comfort zone and had us taste some drier white wines, which I loved (especially not being a white wine drinker). Highly recommend this company for a very personal, intimate wine tasting experience!
