With his recent acquisition of the Desert Heart vineyard on Felton Road in Bannockburn, actor Sam Neill has expanded the Two Paddocks estate to include all three major subregions in Central Otago. They now hold vineyards in Gibbston Valley, Cromwell Basin and the Alexandra Basin – the only winery to have this regional diversity in their vineyards.

Two North Canterbury vineyards are mourning the loss of their vines after they were accidentally sprayed with the wrong chemical. Although it is currently unknown what chemical was actually sprayed, the owners are blaming the mislabeling of a common insecticide for the problem.
